Applications / field conditions

Well pump irrigation system requirements by application

Define the water available to the irrigation network before comparing equipment. The examples below are procurement scenarios, not completed projects or site-specific engineering recommendations.

Explore Inquiry Options

One source, different operating demands

Review each application card and record the missing site information in your brief.

Orchard / drip zones

Block-by-block irrigation

Specify crop, acreage, block elevation and which zones run simultaneously. The drip irrigation emitter demand and required pressure at the zone are inputs to the system calculation, not the pump's maximum flow rating.

Ask for the proposed curve, filter allowance and control response at changing demand. Fertigation compatibility must cover the injection arrangement and wetted materials; a motor rating alone cannot establish suitability.

Open field / sprinkler

Sprinkler operating window

Provide the sprinkler arrangement, nozzle requirements, pipe network and operating schedule. Record the design flow in gpm or m³/h and the required pressure in psi or bar using one unit basis per comparison.

A well with limited yield may need a revised operating schedule or separately designed storage. Do not assume a larger pump creates more sustainable well supply. Ask the project designer to resolve that constraint before selecting equipment.

Protected cropping / nursery

Frequent small irrigation events

Describe daily start frequency, tank or direct-supply arrangement and automation interface. A package used across many small zones may have different controls and protection requirements from a long continuous pumping duty.

Confirm dry-run protection, pressure sensing, manual operation and service access. The factory should identify its operating limitations and the site installer should confirm the electrical and control interfaces.

Selection trade-offs to record

Before acceptance, ask for model-specific curves and manuals, check the stated test conditions, and reconcile the quotation with your measured or calculated water levels. The product-family reference informs requirement vocabulary only. Review our technical checklist for document questions.

Well supply to commercial crop field

Bring the well conditions into the quotation

Include pumping water level, available yield information, crop area, design duty, quantity and US destination. A sourcing request cannot replace a well assessment or a site design review.
