Procurement analysis / role clarity

Grove Compass Sourcing: our approach

We organize irrigation requirements so business buyers can compare factory replies on a shared basis. The task begins with a precise brief and ends with documented decisions and unresolved questions.

Make the assumptions visible before a quotation becomes a purchase decision.

A catalog label is not a hydraulic design. A lower price can reflect a missing motor, different voltage, omitted control panel or excluded freight. Grove Compass Sourcing helps buyers describe the intended duty, collect comparable replies and distinguish factory statements from items that still need confirmation.

We act as an independent sourcing partner. Factory capability, product certification, stock status and warranty coverage require evidence for the specific model and supplier. No supplier is represented as approved solely because it responds to an inquiry.

The application brief

Capture water source and quality, crop, coverage area and zone schedule. Mark flow and pressure data with units and identify whether they are measured, calculated or provisional. Unknown values remain open questions for the responsible designer.

The quotation scope

Match the pump, motor, inlet and outlet, controls, packing and spare parts against the same written brief. Record alternatives on separate rows. A substitution becomes comparable only after its effect on the hydraulic and installation interfaces is accepted.

The evidence record

Request model-specific curves, material declarations, manuals and test records where applicable. Check who issued each document and which configuration it covers. A general factory brochure cannot confirm a supplied pump's duty or destination compliance.

References with defined limits

Product-family vocabulary

The Netafim product and solution reference supports the vocabulary of filtration, fertigation, water delivery and control requirements. It does not establish a supplier relationship or prove performance for an offered pump.

Working procurement checklist

Our Technical Resources page contains a downloadable RFQ checklist and comparison fields. Use it to record assumptions and outstanding evidence, then review the procurement article for the same-scope quotation method.

Responsibility before acceptance

The buyer confirms intended use and destination; the factory identifies its proposed configuration and documents; the installer or project designer confirms site compatibility. Any inspection, freight coordination or commissioning assistance must be agreed separately. Optional budget and supplier preference guide the comparison but do not replace technical acceptance.

Start with what you know; label what you need checked

Send your quantity, water conditions and destination. We can use a partial brief to identify missing procurement information; a complete engineered system is not implied by a submitted inquiry.
